You can care for your new hoops by following the aftercare card provided in your order, but in case one was not included "Sorry!".

Here it is:

• Apply cosmetics, hair products, lotions, perfumes, and powders prior to wearing your Hoops

• Prevent your Hoops from being exposed to moisture, humidity, and steam

• Remove your Hoops before showering, swimming, sunbathing, and exercising

• Prevent damage and breakage by removing your Hoops at bedtime

• To reduce tarnish and wearing, keep Hoops out of direct sunlight and stored in pouch provided when not being rocked

• Use a soft cloth to clean your Hoops and avoid using abrasive cleaners

We are happy to replace any defective Hoops within 7 days of delivery. Please direct all concerns to hello@thehoopline.com.

Please keep in mind that unless you have purchased solid gold hoops, the gold layer will wear off over time exposing the metal below. This does not mean the hoops are defective, it is inevitable with gold plated pieces. To extend the life of your gold plated hoops please follow the care instructions provided.

Gold plating is a process where a thin layer of gold is applied to various metals such as silver, stainless steel, copper, or alloy. The gold layer is then coated in a pvc coating to aid in longevity. Gold plating is an amazing, cost effective way to still rock gold pieces without the hefty price tag.

Yes, and no. Gold itself is an inert metal that cannot tarnish. During the plating process the gold mixes and adheres to the underlying metal taking away the properties of solid gold, making tarnishing a possibility.

Your Hoops are less likely to tarnish if stored away from light and oxygen, so it is important to return them to the pouch provided when not in use. Moisture is also the enemy to your gold plated hoops, and especially harsh chemicals, making it imperative that they stay dry and away from perfumes, etc.

Yes, we ship all over the world, but are not in control of extended wait times for parcels and/or any customs fees.

Yes - all hoops are hypoallergenic. Some metals are more likely to cause a reaction like Brass - So if this metal was used in production of the earrings, the post that is inserted into the ear is made from Stainless Steel or 925. With this being said, some people can react regardless and this is not guaranteed.
